HOW TO ACCESS A VPN (Virtual Private Network) - OS X
1) Open the "Internet Connect" application located in the Utilities Folder inside your Applications Folder.
2) Select VPN (PPTP) in the main toolbar.
3) Enter the correct external server address, name, and password for your company vpn.
4) Click on connect and after a successful connection, status will show the amout of time connected.
5) In the Finder, select "Go > Connect To Server" or enter Command-K.
6) Enter your server name, user name, and password, then click on connect.
7) In the following window, make ssure Registered User is selected, then enter your username and password again, click on connect.
8) Finally, on the following connection window, select the Shared drives to mount on your deskop, You can select two or more by holding the Command key. Your drives should now be mounted on your desktop.
